    Work Description
    Work of this contract is for the provision of all labour, materials, services and equipment necessary for the construction of the following: 
    1. New equipment building to post disaster standards
    2. underground power, communications systems and building utilities
    3. Helipad lighting upgrades.  
    
    Co-operate and co-ordinate work with other contractors and Canadian Coast Guard (CCG). Work of this project must include provisions for co-ordinating related work for following principals items: 
    1. Installation of generator and related equipment within the Equipment Building
    2. Installation of fuel system.
    
    
    OPTIONAL Site Visit:
    Contractors are strongly recommended to visit the site prior to submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with the site as well as the nature and extent of the work.
    
    There will be a site visit on 24 April 2019 at 10:00 am. Interested bidders are to meet at Coast Guard Road, Amphitrite Point, Ucluelet BC.  Attendees to meet outside the Marine Emergencies Equipment Depot.
     
    Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
    
    In order to be guaranteed access to the site visit all persons should have the proper personal protection equipment (safety glasses, footwear, vests and hard hats etc.).
    
    
    Delivery Date:
    Complete the work associated with the project and have the facility for use by Canadian Coast Guard by 09 October, 2019.
    
    
    Value of Project:
    To assist with bonding and insurance requirements this project is estimated to cost between $1,500,000.00 - $2,500,000.00.

Firms that elect to base their proposal on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk and will be solely responsible to inform the tender calling authority of their intention to bid.
