Work Description: 

Work of this Contract comprises general construction of a guardhouse with all connections of its utilities, located at The Institute of Ocean Sciences in 9860 West Saanich Road V8L 5T5 Sidney, BC; and further identified as The Guardhouse. 
New 59 m2 one-storey Guardhouse.

The Work includes, but is not limited to, the following general scope: 
• Site Demolition, Excavation, & Preparation, to suit the new Work
• Architectural, Structural, Mechanical & Electrical: construction of the new Guardhouse.
• Civil: new associated site services, and retaining walls, curbs, paving and sidewalks;
• Landscaping: re-grading, re-sodding and planting, materials and labour. 

Include all temporary means and facilities required to advance the work in a timely manner, and to keep the property protected, safe and secure during the performance of the work. Refer to all Division 1 measures. 
Contractor Staging Area and Access to the Site: refer to Site Plan and Division 1 requirements.

SITE VISIT:

There will be no site visit however pictures of the site are provided under Attachments.

Delivery Date: 
The Contractor must perform and complete the Work by March 31, 2021.

Value of Project: 
To assist with insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost between $500,001 to $1,000,000

Due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and to encourage physical distancing, the bid receiving unit in Vancouver will remain open but with limited staff and limited hours: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays only, from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm (Pacific Daylight Time). 

Public tender openings will be suspended until further notice. Following solicitation closing, bid results will be recorded and may be obtained by e-mailing a request to the address indicated in the Invitation to Tender.
