    Work Description:
    Work under this Contract comprises, but is not limited to, the provision of all labour,
    materials, services and equipment necessary for the Hot Water Boiler and Tank
    Replacement work for Matsqui Institution, Building M4, at Abbotsford, BC, including
    demolition and construction work, as fully described in the Tender Documents.
    
    The existing domestic hot water system must remain operational 24/7 during the entire
    project duration, including construction phase. Only limited short duration of periods
    (coordinated with and approved by Departmental Representative / CSC Facilities) shall
    be allowed for existing system tie ins with new.
    
    Extended full 2 years parts and labour warranty for the heaters and controls system shall
    be included.
    
    Mandatory Site Visit:
    1. There will be a site visit on February 6th, 2020 at 10h00. Interested bidders are to meet at the Matsqui Institution - PSPC Site Office trailer, 33344 King Rd., Abbotsford BC V2S 5A6. The front gate Commissionaire will only allow access to the site if previous visitor information is provided and names appear on the visitor list. 
    
    2. The site visit for this project is MANDATORY.  The representative of the Bidder must sign the Site Visit Attendance Sheet at the site visit. Bids submitted by Bidders who have not signed the attendance sheet will be rejected.
    
    3. Prior to submitting a bid for this work, the representative(s) of the Bidder are required to visit the site to make inquiries or investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with the site as well as the nature and extent of the work.
    
    4. Safety Attire: In order to be guaranteed access to the site visit all persons should have the proper personal protection equipment (safety steel toe boots and reflective safety vest as a minimum in addition to the visitor’s company safety policies). Contractor`s personnel/individuals who do not have the proper safety attire may be denied access to the site.
    
    5. A maximum of two (2) representatives per bidder will be permitted to examine the site. Contractors attending the site visit may be required to show one (1) piece of government issued ID, such as a Driver’s License.
    
    6. Bidders are responsible for making their own travel arrangements.
    
    7. Interested bidders are required to communicate with the Contracting Authority, Thomas Leboeuf at thomas.leboeuf@tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca or (604) 671-2613 no later than 24 hours prior to the site visit.  Bidders should provide, in writing via email, to the Contracting Authority, the names, telephone and email address of the person(s) who are attending so that they will be place on the Commissionaire’s visitors list.
    
    Delivery Date: 
    The Contractor must perform and complete the Work within 16 weeks from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer.
    
    Estimated Value: 
    To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost approximately between $100,001.00 and $500,000.00. (GST included).
