This contract will deliver a range of services including: building operations and maintenance, managing of service calls and incidents, emergency work services, warranty related services, cleaning requirements, hoteling requirements, fume hood maintenance, environmental management, management of utilities, inventory management, building management planning, building performance reviews and minor repairs as more fully described in the Statement of Work. The Service Provider is required to plan, operate, and maintain the campus using their own forces and subcontracts so that POLAR can focus on its mandate to deliver cutting-edge science and technology research in Canada’s north, while ensuring the campus is maintained to an appropriate standard, provides a healthy and safe working environment, and is in line with Treasury Board Policies. The duration of the contract will be for a five year period, with the possibility of three two-year option periods. A Site Visit WebEx will be held to provide a description of the facility and answer any questions from bidders regarding the site. See further details on the Site Visit WebEx in the tender documents. THIS PROCUREMENT IS SUBJECT TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE INUIT OF THE NUNAVUT SETTLEMENT AREA AND HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN IN RIGHT OF CANADA (THE NUNAVUT AGREEMENT). THIS REQUIREMENT IS LIMITED TO INUIT FIRMS ON THE INUIT FIRM REGISTRY (IFR). THIS DOCUMENT CONTAINS AN INDUSTRIAL SECURITY REQUIREMENT.
