Work of this Contract comprises demolition and architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and telecommunications work associated with renovation and fit-up of a dispatch and communications centre located at 1091 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Work also includes construction of a new electrical room in the basement of the building; and supply and installation of a new generator and pad in the existing parking lot, as more fully described in the plans and specifications.

At bid closing,the Bidder must hold a valid Security Clearance as indicated in section SC01 of the Supplementary Conditions. Failure to comply with this requirement will render the Bid non-compliant and no further consideration will be given to the Bid

OPTIONAL SITE VISIT: 
1. There will be a site visit on Monday, July 9 at 10:00 CDT. Interested bidders are to meet at the front entrance 1091 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba. 
2. The names of each individual attending the site visit, along with the name of the firm they represent, must be provided to the Contracting Authority by end of day Thursday, July 5, 2018 in order to gain access to the site.
3. Safety Attire: In order to be guaranteed access to the site visit all persons should have the proper personal protection equipment as it relates to footwear and hard hats. Contractor`s personnel/individuals who do not have the proper safety attire may be denied access to the site.

Work is estimated to be completed within 40 weeks after contract award. To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, the estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following category: over and above $5,000,001.

Bidders are responsible for obtaining copies of bid forms, special instructions and amendments issued prior to bid closing, and are to ensure they are addressed in the submitted bid.
