DESCRIPTION: To carry out the ship repair work regarding the Canadian Coast Guard Ships (C.C.G.S.) Amundsen, during the fall 2018 layouts in the Port of Quebec, Quebec (QC), in accordance with the Technical Specifications entitled ; ’ REFIT FALL 2018 - CCGS AMUNDSEN - REMISE EN SERVICE DP4 V14 ’ and all related drawings and other technical documents. BIDDERS’ CONFERENCE (OPTIONAL): A bidders' Conference chaired by the Contracting Authority was convened on board vessel CCGS Amundsen at 2:00 pm, May 24th, 2018. The vessel was moored at Section 97 in the Port au Quebec. An attendance confirmation was required before 11:00 am, May 22nd, 2018. VESSEL’S VIEWING (OPTIONAL): A vessel’s viewing was held immediately after the bidders’ conference. PARTICULARS OF THE VESSEL: Name: CCGS Amundsen Propulsion Power: 10,142 kW Year Built: 1978 Length overall: 98.33 meters Breadth moulded: 19.51 meters Maximum draught: 7.18 meters Load displacement: 1,742 English Tons Work is to commence and be completed as follows: Fall 2018 Work Period Start: September 11th, 2018 or as per ship’s availability. (At the earlier date.) End: November 30th, 2018 or 10 weeks after ship being made available by CCG Spring 2019 Work Period (for items 7 and 8 only) Start: April 1st, 2019 or as per ship’s availability. (At the earlier date.) End: June 1st, 2019 or 5 weeks (maximum) after ship being made available by CCG The Bidder agrees through submission of its response to the bid solicitation that the above time frame provides an adequate period to perform the subject work and absorb a reasonable amount of unscheduled work; and further, that they have sufficient material and human resources allocated or available to complete the subject work and a reasonable amount of unscheduled work within the Work period. The requirement is exempt from the provisions of the World Trade Organization Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP), Annex 4 and the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), Chapter 10 Annex 1001.2b Paragraph 1, however, it is subject to the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA).
