    SUMMARY:
    
    The Technical Statement of Requirement is as follows:
    
    a. Carry out the design, construction, test, trial and delivery of ONE (1) 9.5 to 9.8 m RHIB with enclosed cabin, including outboard motors and trailer for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in accordance with the associated Technical Specifications detailed in the Statement of Work as Annexe A.. 
    
    
    OPTIONAL GOODS:
     
     The Contractor grants to Canada the irrevocable option to acquire one (1) boat with trailer, described at Annex A of the Contract under the same conditions and at the prices and/or rates stated in the Contract. The option may only be exercised by the Contracting Authority and will be evidenced, for administrative purposes only, through a contract amendment.
    
     The Contracting Authority may exercise the option within 12 months after contract award 
    
    DELIVERY:
    
    Delivery of the boat and all other deliverables are required by the contract to be at destination on or before 30 November, 2016 or at an acceptable date ARO.
    
    
    MISSON STATEMENT:
    
    The vessel will be supporting the various policing operations within the detachment including border enforcement, tactical operations, transport of personnel and search and rescue (SAR) operations. 
    .
    
    PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE VESSEL:
    
     1. Length:     = 8.5 M to 9.5 M maximum.
     2. Crew of 4    = 120 kg/person
     3. Equipment & supplies   = 300 kg
    
    
    MANDATORY CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS: 
    
    1.  The vessel must be constructed and comply at a minimum with the current issue of Transport Canada TP 1332 “Construction Standards for Small Vessels” and American Bureau Yacht Council (ABYC) where applicable. 
    
    2.  Canadian Standards Association C22.2 NO.183.2-M1983 (R1999) “Standards for D.C.  Electrical Installations”
    
    3.  All aluminum welding must be performed by a company that iscertified in accordance with CSA Standard W47.2-11, Certification for Fusion Welding of Aluminum, Minimum Division 2.1.
