    Emergency Tow Kits 
    
    The Canadian Coast Guard will acquire rapidly deployable emergency towing packages for use on major CCG vessels as well as at strategically located staging areas. 
    
    As all vessels are not identical, and the kits need to be helicopter deployable, it has been determined that three (3) types are required:
    
    A Small Emergency Towing Kit for towed vessels below 20,000 dead weight tonnes (DWT) a Large Emergency Towing Kit for towed vessels between 20,000 and 50,000 DWT and an Extra Large Emergency Towing Kit for towed vessels over 50,000 DWT.
    
    Additional towline segments kits will also be required to complement each primary kit as needed.
    
    At this time two (2) large tow kits will be purchased as identified in the solicitation, there is an option to purchase additional units.

    It is the responsibility of the Bidder to ensure that all addenda issued prior to the solicitation closing have been obtained and addressed in the submitted bid.
