Restoration of two electronic equipment shelters

DELIVERABLES / SCOPE OF WORK

In Quebec, the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) Marine Communications and Traffic Services (MCTS) provides services to the maritime community by means of two communications centres located in Québec and Les Escoumins. VHF coverage is provided by ten sites, including Marconi while FM services are offered by the Étang-du-Nord site, both of which are in the Magdalen Islands. The work on these plans, architecture specifications and this specification are associated with these communication sites.

Unless otherwise specified, the contractor shall supply all labour, transportation, handling, materials, equipment and tools necessary for the performance of the following work in accordance with the requirements of the plans and of these specifications.

This contract covers, but is not limited to, carrying out the following work on the Canadian Coast Guard Magdalen Islands sites:

Marconi

• Replace gravity ventilators and close chimney duct
• Strip walls, windows, roof overhangs and roof
• Paint walls, window trim, roof overhangs and metal accessories
• Replace frame and exterior door
• Replace the attic access hatch
• Cap foundation walls and backfill
• Seal openings around wires crossing the ceiling
• Inject epoxy into cracks in foundation walls
• Pour concrete slab in the basement
• Attach and seal sashes. Painting

Étang du Nord

• Replace sections of vinyl flooring
• Paint exterior metal accessories
• Repair outside seals around the windows
• Replace two sets of exterior doors and frames
• Replace the exterior attic access hatch
• Add loose-fill insulation in the attic
• Replace friction arm, attach and seal window casements, replace a small sliding shutter

EXPECTED START AND COMPLETION DATES

The services of the Contractor will be commencing upon contract award. The expected completion date of this project is August 31, 2017.
