REQUIREMENT
The Works covered by this contract consist of the repair/reconstruction of the drainage infrastructure of the Chambly Canal, including syphons no. 1 to 3, weirs no. 1 to 3 and the workshop ditch along the Canal and certain private residences, and include, without limitation, the following activities:
Demolition work, off-site transportation and disposal of various materials, installation of underground infrastructure and related, excavation, transportation and disposal of non-hazardous residual materials that may be encountered during excavation work, concrete repair, ducted concrete mass networks including ducts, underground duct systems, well of drawing, building foundations drills.
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated at a value between $1,000,001 > $5,000,000 Taxes extra.
DELIVERY DATE
Contractor shall perform and complete the Work no later than May 17, 2021.
BIDDERS CONFERENCE
An optional bidders' conference will be held on September 22, 2020 via teleconference. The conference call will begin at 10:00 AM Local time.
Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than September 21, 2020 4:00 PM (local time) to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance sheet. Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
All enquiries of a technical and contractual nature are to be submitted to the Contracting Authority.
Enquiries regarding this bid must be submitted in writing and should be received no later than five (5) business/calendar days prior to the date set for solicitation closing to allow sufficient time to provide a response. Enquiries received after that time may result in an answer NOT being provided.
**REVISION no.1**
There will be an optional site visit on Tuesday September 29 at 10h30 (local time) for a specific zone of the work close to syphon 1. Refer to Revision no.1 issued for the details.
INFORMATION:
National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.
Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders . Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.
The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
