    The Department of National Defence has a requirement to purchase 52 Ultra- Light Combat Vehicles (ULCVs) and ancillary items, including familiarization instructions/training, publications, and other data deliverables in accordance with the requirements of ANNEX B and its appendices. The requirement includes an irrevocable option to purchase up to 26 ULCVs. The requirement also includes, on an “as and when requested basis”, the provision of Ready Packs, Special Tooling and Test Equipment, In Service Support and the supply of spare parts to support ULCV entire fleet for a period of two (2) years after final delivery of the ULCV. 
    As part of the Technical Bid, the Bidder must provide one (1) or two (2) units of the proposed Ultra-Light Combat Vehicle(s) at no cost to Canada.
    
    This procurement is subject to the Controlled Goods Program. The Defence production Act defines Canadian Controlled Goodsas certain goods listed in Canada’s Export Control List, a regulation made pursuant to the Export and Import Permits Act (EIPA).
    Submission of Vehicle(s) for Bid Evaluation Purposes
    The Bidder must provide Ultra-Light Combat Vehicle(s) as requested under article 4.1 of Appendix 2 to Part 4. Canada will return the vehicle(s) to the Bidder upon written request to the Contracting Authority. Such request must be made within 30 days of Award Notice. 
    
    Canada will not be responsible for any damage or alterations to the vehicles as a result of the evaluation and testing. 
    
    Enquiries - Bid Solicitation
    All enquiries regarding this RFP must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Authority identified on the cover page of the RFP. The enquiries should be submitted within the following question periods. Enquiries received after these periods may not be answered:
    
    Question Period 1: Enquiries should be submitted no later than August 23, 2016; and
    Question Period 2: Enquiries should be submitted no later than September 6, 2016.
    Question Period 3: Enquiries should be submitted no later that September 19, 2016.

    The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
