    PROJECT IDENTIFICATION:  Project number R.049987.003 - Cooling
    Towers replacement at the Esplanade Laurier Building, 300
    Laurier Street, Ottawa, Ontario. 
    
    PROJECT DESCRIPTION:  The project consist of removing existing
    towers from the 22nd floor of an Office Building in downtown
    Ottawa and replacing them with new pre-purchased cooling tower
    units.  The cooling towers are located in wells (norht and
    south) in the east building tower of the Office complex.  The
    new cooling tower units are located in Aylmer, Québec and must
    be transported and hoisted in place.
    
    Work is to be completed within thirty-three (33) weeks after
    contract award. The estimated cost for this opportunity is
    within the following category: $1,000,000.01 and $5,000,000.00.  
    
    MANDATORY SECURITY REQUIREMENT:   
    This procurement contains a mandatory security requirement.  At
    bid closing, the Bidder must hold a valid Designated
    Organization Screening (DOS). Failure to comply with this
    requirement will render the Bid non-compliant and no further
    consideration will be given to the Bid. 
    
    
    OPTIONAL SITE VISIT:  
    There will be a site visit on August 22, 2013 at 10:00 a.m.  
    Interested bidders are to meet at the Esplanade Laudier,
    Security Desk, 140 O'Connor Street, Ottawa, Ontario.
    
    SAFETY ATTIRE - It is mandatory that all persons attending the
    site visit have the proper safety footwear (CSA approved green
    patch), and hard hat.  Contractor personnel/individuals who do
    not 	have the proper safety attire will be denied access to the
    site.
