To incorporate the following revision: The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following category: over $5,000,001.00. ***************************************************************** ******** The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following category: $5,000,001.00. ***************************************************************** *********************************************** PROJECT IDENTIFICATION: R.008227.002 Rehabilitation of the Ventilation Towers, Centre Block, Parliament Hill, 111 Wellington Street, Ottawa, ON. Project description: Masonry replacement and repointing of the exterior stone and interior brick of the two ventilation towers for the Centre Block of Parliament Hill. Other elements of the work include: Structural and Seismic reinforcement, conservation and restoration of the windows and louvers, and roof replacement. Work is to be completed within one-hundred twenty-seven (127) weeks after contract award. MANDATORY SECURITY REQUIREMENT: This procurement contains a mandatory security requirement. At bid closing, the Contractor must, at all times during the performance of the Contract, hold a valid Designated Organization Screening (DOS), issued by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC). The Contractor's Company Security Officer must hold a valid SECRET clearance, granted or approved by CISD/PWGSC. Failure to comply with this requirement will render the Bid non-compliant and no further consideration will be given to the Bid. OPTIONAL SITE VISIT: There will be a site visit on March 11, 2014 at 10am. Interested bidders are to meet at the vistors centre, Peace Tower, Centre Block, Parliament Hill, 111 Wellington Street, Ottawa, ON. Please Note: To ensure access, the names of each individual attending the site visit, their date of birth, and the name of the firm they represent, must be provided to the Contracting Officer by 10:00am, March 6, 2014 in order to gain access to the site. All names are to be submitted to the Contractual Authority Hélène Lagacé by email at helene.lagace@pwgsc.gc.ca. ENQUIRIES: All enquiries are to be submitted in writing to the Contractual Authority: Hèléne Lagacé by email at helene.lagace@tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca. Enquiries are to be made in writing and should be received no less than seven (7) calendar days prior to the closing date to allow sufficient time to respond.
