    TITLE:  CCGS Corporal McLaren Dry Docking
    
    DESCRIPTION:
    Public Services and Procurement Canada has a requirement on behalf of Canadian Coast Guard to carry out docking repairs to the CCGS Corporal McLaren in accordance with the associated technical specification detailed in the Statement of Work and applicable Annexes and Appendices. 
    
    The work period dates are:
    Commencement: 05 November 2018
    Completion: 10 December 2018
    
    Optional Viewing:
    The vessel will be available for viewing on 9 October 2018, beginning at 0900 local at Bedford Institute of Oceanography in Dartmouth, NS.
    
    Optional Bidders Conference:
    A Bidders Conference will be held onboard the vessel on 9 October 2018, beginning at 1100 local at Bedford Institute of Oceanography in Dartmouth, NS.
    
    Potential bidders are to communicate with the Contracting Authority prior to the viewing and bidders conferences to confirm attendance.
    
    There is no security requirement applicable to this Contract.
    
    The sourcing strategy relating to this procurement will be limited to suppliers in the area of origin (Eastern Canada) of the vessel in accordance with the Shipbuilding and Repair Procurement Policy.
    
    TRADE AGREEMENTS:
    The requirement is subject to the provisions of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA). The requirement is exempt from the provisions of the Comprehensive Economic Trade Agreement (CETA), as per Annex 19-7, Note 1a, the World Trade Organization, Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP), Annex 7 - General Notes of Canada, note 1a and the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), Chapter Ten Annex 1001.2b Paragraph 1.
