    CCG Southside Base Site Development and Services - St. John's, NL
    
    Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) has a
    requirement for Site  Development and Services at the Canadian
    Coast Guard (CCG) Southside Base in St. John's, NL.  This
    project will develop the site at Southside Road, St. John's to
    accommodate the future construction of a new CCG Base.  Work
    will include the construction of a new electrical building and
    re-routing of power to the shore power pedestals; installation
    of 5 geothermal wells and associated conduit and header pipe;
    construction of a new access road with necessary retaining
    structure, implementation of water service, storm sewer and
    sanitary sewer with lift station; construction of underground
    duct banks; remediation of displaced soils as required; and the
    paving of the parking area and approach (base course only). 
    
    SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: 
    
    Before submitting a bid, it is recommended that bidders visit
    the site and its surroundings to review and verify the form,
    nature, and extent of the work, materials necessary for the
    completion of the work, the means of access to the site,
    severity, exposure and uncertainty of weather, soil conditions,
    any accommodations they may require, and in general shall obtain
    all necessary information as to risks, contingencies and other
    circumstances which may influence or affect their bid.  No
    allowance shall be made subsequently in this connection on
    account of error or negligence to properly observe and determine
    the conditions that will apply.
    
    Contractors, bidders, or those they invite to site are to review
    specification Section 01 35 29 - Health and Safety Requirements
    - before visiting the site.  Take all appropriate safety
    measures for any visit to site, either before or after
    acceptance of bid.  Obtain prior permission from the
    Departmental Representative before carrying out such site
    inspection.
    
    Bidders must refer to the General Instructions - Construction
    Services - Bid Security Requirements - R2710T (2015-02-25) for
    the Integrity Provisions (Code of Conduct and Certification)
    applicable to this requirement.
