This work shall consist of but not be limited to the the demolition of the existing finger pier wharf and associated components, the placing of rock mattress, the construction of a new 9.144m x 104.4m timber crib finger pier wharf with concrete deck, construction of a crib approach with concrete deck, placement of scour protection and other related work as described in the specification. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: 1. It is recommended that bidders visit the site and its surroundings and verify the form, nature and extent of the work, the means to access the site, severity, exposure and uncertainity of weather, soil conditions and in general obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies and other circumstances prior to submitting bid. 2. Bidders must refer to Section 01 35 28 - Health and Safety Requirements, Project Site Conditions, of specifications before performing any site inspection or preliminary work on site. Bidders must refer to GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS (GI) - R2710T (2015-02-25) for the Integrity Provisions (Code of Conduct and Certification) applicable to this requirement.
