Work Description: Work to be performed under the Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following work: - Replace topside elements of piled approach trestle - Replace bulkhead timbers - Replace and repair select substructure elements of piled approach trestle - Supply and install gangway - Supply/Install new treated timber floats - Supply/Install treated timber piles - Supply/Install steel pipe piles - Supply/Install new chains and concrete anchors - Supply/Install new lighting and electrical outlet Work will be performed in accordance with the contract and as shown on the drawings. Site Visit: Contractors are strongly recommended to visit the site prior to submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with the site as well as the natureand extent of the work. A site visit is scheduled on May 1, 2017 @ 12:00 pm local time. Interested bidders are to meet at the shore access, Bedwell Harbour (on South Pender Island, BC). Due to logistical reasons, there will only beone site visit scheduled. Bidders should advise their sub-trades / business partners should they need to attend the scheduled site visit. Viewing access to the electrical panel in CBSA’s office will only be available during this scheduled sitevisit. Attendees planning to walk on the floats are required tobring their own PFD (personal floatation device). Delivery Date: The work shall commence immediately upon official notification of acceptance of tender by the Contracting Authority and is to be completedwithin 12 weeks of award.
