Trade Agreement: Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: Building Envelope Rehabilitation F1700-174255/A Arthur (PWY), Carolyn Telephone No. - (604) 364-2752 ( ) Fax No. - (604) 775-6633 ( ) Title: Building Envelope Remediation Location: Kitsilano Coast Guard Station, Vancouver, BC Work Description: The Department of Fisheries & Oceans is currently in the design process for a full building envelope restoration at the Kitsilano Coast Guard Base. The work, covered further in the contract documents, includes, but is not limited to: - Replacement of windows, doors, wall framing, roofing, stair case and guardrails. - Demo and removal of roof material, exterior finishes, soffit, handrails, window, doors and stairs. - New framing yet not limited to: window openings, roof corners, handrails, stairs, walls around stairs, additional exterior insulation framing. - All effected interior finishes are to be reinstated as prior to construction condition. Precautions are to be taken yet not limited to: environmental impact of the marine environment, working at heights, working over water, and limited operational space. All work is to be done in accordance with the drawings and specifications. Optional Site Visit: Contractors are strongly recommended to visit the site prior to submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with the site as well as the nature and extent of the work. There will be a site visit on October 5 at 10:00am local time. Interested bidders are to meet at Kitsilano Coast Guard Station, 1661 Whyte Ave, Vancouver BC. Safety Attire - It is mandatory that all persons attending the site visit have the proper personal protection equipment (safety glasses, footwear, vests and hard hats etc.). Contractor`s personnel/individuals who do not have the proper safety attire may be denied access to the site. Delivery Date: The work shall commence immediately upon official notification of acceptance of tender by the Contracting Authority and is to be completed March 01, 2018.
