    Title:  Healthcare Expansion

    Work Description: 
    Work under this contract consists of the construction of a new health care building expansion and the renovation of existing Healthcare Building G. During construction of the new expansion, existing Healthcare Building G should remain functional with minimum disturbance to day-to-day healthcare operations. Upon completion of new expansion, existing healthcare at Building G will be vacated for renovation. New expansion will operate healthcare programs with some temporary measures until completion of Healthcare Building G renovation. 
    
    Site Visit: 
    There will be a site visit on November 29, 2017 at 10:00 am. Interested bidders are to meet at the PWGSC Site Office at the Mountain Institution located at 4732 Cemetery Road, Agassiz, B.C.
    
    All contractors must wear a high visibility vest, which meets WCB (WorkSafe BC) standards, for all site visits including this solicitation site visit. No cameras, cell phones (of any type) or lap top computers are allowed into institutions at any time. All contractors attending the site visit must to able to provide a piece of Government issued photo identification at the reception in order to gain visitor access into institutions.
     
    Bid Depository:
    The General Contractor must obtain bids for the Mechanical trade through BidCentral Online Bidding for Subcontractors (BOBS) according to its rules of procedure (www.bidcentral.ca/bobs). All questions regarding BidCentral Online Bidding for Subcontractors is to be referred to the BOBS Administrator as indicated in the BOBS rules of procedures. 
    
    The General Contractor must instruct the Mechanical Trade Contractors bidding directly to the General Contractor to bid on the scope of the work as defined in the BOBS rules of procedures (e.g. trade definitions, specification sections etc.).
    
    Notwithstanding anything else contained in this bid solicitation, no Bidder, General Contractor or Subcontractor or any other person or entity will have any claim whatsoever (including but not limited to a claim of negligence) or any compensation of any kind whatsoever against Canada as a result of participation in or use of BOBS, or participation in the BOBS process, or as a result of the interpretation, application or non-application of their rules of procedure.
    
    Delivery Date: 
    The Contractor must perform and complete the Work within sixty (60) weeks from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer.

    Value of Project (revised): 
    To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost between $4,900,000 and $5,100,000.
