Due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and to encourage physical distancing, the bid receiving unit in Vancouver will remain open but with limited staff and limited hours: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday only from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Work Description:
Work to be performed under this Contract includes, but not limited to, the following items covered further in the Contract Documents:
1. Provide a detailed work plan including a project schedule and phasing.
2. Do not start work until all essential equipment is delivered to the site and the work can proceed without delays
3. Provide as-built drawings and close out submittals

Contractor’s Use of Premises:
Contractor has limited sue of site for work of this contract until Substantial Completion
Vehicular access through Mission Medium Institute will be restricted during the inmate “count” at breakfast, lunch and dinner hours.  Confirm times with Departmental Representative.  Delays may occur when entering and existing the Institution with vehicles due to security situations and heavy traffic. 

Optional Site Visit
There will be a site visit on January 11, 2021 at 10:00am PST. Interested bidders are to meet at PSPC Mission site office, Mission Inst., 8751 Stave Lake St, Mission, B.C. The bidder shall limit its representatives who attend the Site Visit to two persons.

Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than January 10 2021 at 10:00 PST to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders must also complete and submit the certification. 

Completion of the Work 
The Contractor must perform and complete the Work within (36) weeks from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer.

Value of Project:
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements this project is estimated to cost between $1,000,001 to $5,000,000. 

Firms intending to submit proposals on this project should obtain documents through Buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders. Addenda, when issued will be available from Buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders.  Firms that elect to base their proposal on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk and will be solely responsible to inform the tender calling authority of their intention to bid.
