Nature of Requirements: 

Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) is requesting information and industry feedback from stakeholders and potential suppliers for the purpose of exploring solutions regarding available functionality related to digital and online campsite, accommodation, event and activity, and equipment reservation systems, combined with digital and online sales and transactions for admission, passes, permits, and products such as merchandise. 

Objectives

The objectives of this LOI/RFI are to: 

1) Identify potential solutions and gain insight into current    industry capacity and capabilities regarding reservation    systems to enhance the digital experience of visitors to    Parks Canada places.
2) Allow potential suppliers to comment on the clarity of the    requirement as currently expressed.
3) To identify solution which complies with the LOI/RFI    specifications described in Annex C, Future Functionality.
4) Allow potential suppliers to offer suggestions regarding any    potential alternative solutions that would meet the    requirement.
5) The information gathered may be used for planning purposes    and refining the procurement strategy, such as but not    limited to drafting performance specifications, there is no    guarantee that subsequent contract will be awarded

Format of Responses Requested:

Respondents are requested to provide their documentation in response to Annex D Questions to Industry as well as any additional comments, raise any concerns and where applicable, propose alternative recommendations regarding how the requirements or objectives described in this RFI could be satisfied. Respondents should explain any assumptions they make in their responses.
PSPC may, in its sole and absolute discretion schedule one-on-one meetings with respondents to provide an opportunity for a demonstration of how their solution or proposed Reservation system performs and to validate the information submitted in response to this RFI.

Interested Respondents may submit their responses to the PSPC Contracting Authority, address herein, preferably via email by the date specified on the front page of the LOI/RFI.

Responses to this RFI are to be submitted to the PSPC Contracting Authority identified above, on or before October 17th 2018.

Note to Potential Respondents:

This request for information (RFI) is not a bid solicitation and no contract will result from it.

This LOI/RFI will not result in the award of any contract or lead to any development funding initiative. Potential suppliers of any goods described in this LOI should not reserve stock as a result of any information contained in the LOI/RFI. This LOI/RFI will not result in the creation of any source list. Therefore, whether or not any potential supplier responds to this LOI will not preclude that supplier from participating in any future procurement. The procurement of any of the goods described in this LOI/RFI will not necessary follow this LOI/RFI. This LOI/RFI is simply intended to solicit feedback from industry with respect to the matters described in this LOI/RFI.
