    Nature of Work:
    The Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada has a requirement to 
    	Removal and disposal of one aboveground 9,100 litre double wall steel diesel tank
    	Removal of the existing dispensing pump, hose, and nozzle (equipment to be left with owner)
    	Transportation and installation of one new owner supplied 13,600 litre horizontal double wall split gasoline and diesel fuel tank (tank to be transported from Langley, BC to the Bamfield SAR Station)
    	Supply and install all required piping, valves, fittings, and miscellaneous components for each tank section and its dispenser pump.
    	Supply and installation of two submerged turbine pumps with electrical connections
    	Supply and installation of one lockable aluminum fuelling cabinet for gasoline complete with dispensing hose with inline meter, power driven hose reel and associated piping, valves and fittings.
    	Remove and reinstall one existing, lockable, aluminum fuelling cabinet for diesel complete with dispensing hose with inline meter, power driven hose reel and associated piping, valves and fittings.
    	Supply and installation of underground fuel transfer piping with a transition sump. New underground fuel piping to tie into existing underground sump and pipe at existing tank system location.
    	Supply and install of electrical grounding system, lights, monitors, alarms and emergency shut-offs
    
    Bidders are instructed to consult the appended tender package for further details and specific requirements.
    
    Site Locations:  Bamfield ASR Station on the west side of Bamfield Inlet on the west coast of Vancouver Island, approximately 55 kilometres southwest of Port Alberni, BC.  It is accessible only by water or air across Bamfield Inlet from the existing highway terminus.
    
    Start Date:  Upon Award. 
    
    Completion Date: All work to be completed by 31 March 2014
    
    Site Visit: There will not be a site visit for this requirement.
    
    Security Requirements:  Escorts will be provided if needed.

    Bidders should note that all questions regarding this request for proposals must be submitted in writing, No Later Than February 18th, 2014, 2 pm (14:00 Hours) ATLANTIC TIME to the contract authority as set out in section 18 of annex 1- offer of services / contract form.  The department will be unable to respond to questions submitted after that date. 
    
    Fisheries and Oceans Canada will not necessarily accept the lowest or any of the tenders received and reserves the right to reject any and all tenders received which shall be final and at the sole discretion of the Department.
