    Description

    SCOPE OF WORK

Work included in this mandate consists of the complete demolition of all the assets including, but is not limited to the following, the generator and his tank, the foundations and a clean concrete foundation, two guyed towers with their cupper radials and cables, foundations, anchors, fences and a little shelter close to a tower. The site fence has to be demolished completely, the last activity of the project. At the end, the site has to virgin, clean, the site leveled without new material added, with the exception for the holes of the foundations and anchors of the guyed towers.

All work specified in the contract is detailed in the general instructions and site features can be found in Appendix A (Cap-des-Rosiers).

Unless otherwise specified, the Contractor shall supply all labour, transportation, handling, materials, equipment, and tools necessary for the performance of the following work in accordance with the requirements of these general instructions and the site features and the project drawings. The work includes but is not limited to the following:

    • Complete demolition of the shelter for the electronic equipments including the foundations (wood on soil), the generators, electrical masts, ice protection and all the components that the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) doesn’t want to recover.

    • Complete demolition of the Tx/Mf-Rt guyed tower, the height of which is 33.6 m (110 ft) with an insulator at its base. Demolish and remove the central foundation and the three anchors, the fence, the radial system, buried cables, the signs indicating the underground cables. Level the land. • Transport off-site all demolition materials, excavated soil, equipment, and facilities not recovered by the CCG.

    • Eliminate the insolators at the base of the guyed towers with environment precaution: they could contain polychlorinated biphenyl (BCP).

    • Any other work described in this project.
