Visitor Centre Rehabilitation, Terra Nova National Park

Requirement:

Terra Nova National Park requires a Contractor to perform all the work associated with a renovation to upgrade the interior layout of the Visitor’s Centre. The Scope of Work for this Project includes the consolidation of public access to the center of the building using a single entry point, relocation of the information desk, major renovation of the exhibit area and lab, relocation of the staff office into an existing staff room, new mechanical salt water system, electrical and structural upgrade, general repair and upgrade (roof, cladding), extension of exterior boardwalk and landscaping, and repair of the septic field. The jobsite is a workplace area, therefore the Contractor is required to execute construction work with the least possible interference or disturbance to the occupants, building operations, visitors and normal use of the premises. To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated at a value between $1,000,001 and $5,000,000, taxes extra

Optional Site Visit:

There will be an optional site visit on 21 November 2018 at 11:00 (local time). Interested bidders are to meet at the Terra Nova National Park Visitor Centre, 7 kilometres along the Trans-Canada Highway east of Route 310 (Eastport Highway).

The site visit for this project is OPTIONAL. The representative of the bidder will be required to sign the Site Visit Attendance Sheet at the site visit. Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.

National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.
