Pearson, Security Upgrades Address: 125 Sussex Drive, Ottawa, ON PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Work is to be completed within one hundred twenty (120) weeks after contract award. The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following category: category 6: over $5,000,000 MANDATORY SECURITY REQUIREMENT: This procurement contains a mandatory security requirement. At bid closing, the Bidder must hold a valid Facility Security Clearance (FSC). Failure to comply with this requirement will render the Bid non-compliant and no further consideration will be given to the Bid. OPTIONAL SITE VISIT 1. There will be a site visit on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Interested bidders are to meet at the main lobby of 125 Sussex Drive, Ottawa, ON. There is limited parking on site. License plate number will be required at registration. 2. Safety Attire - It is mandatory that all persons attending the site visit have the proper personal protection equipment (footwear). Contractor`s personnel/individuals who do not have the proper safety attire may be denied access to the site. 3. Security pre-screening: The names of each individual attending the site visit, their date of birth, along with the name of the firm they represent, must be provided to the Contracting Authority by Friday, April 20, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in order to be guaranteed access to the site. MANDATORY VIEWING OF BID DOCUMENTS 1. A portion of the requirement involves sensitive information that can only be made available to Bidders with applicable security clearances. This portion of the bid documents is identified as Appendix E Technical Specification by Security in the specifications’ table of contents. 2. The viewing of bid documents is MANDATORY. The representative(s) of the Bidder who have been granted a (SECRET) security clearance by PWGSC Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD) will be allowed access to view the bid documents in an on-site office located at 1010 Somerset Street, Ottawa, ON. 3. To schedule an appointment and allow sufficient time for security clearances to be verified by Canada, the Bidder must provide the company name, representative name(s),date(s) of birth (and if possible, the certificate number of the granted clearance) in writing to the Contracting Authority at jessica.kelly@tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca a minimum of three (3) business days prior to document viewing and no later than Friday, May 18, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. Failure to submit the aforementioned information by this date will prohibit scheduling of a bid document viewing and ultimately, will render any bid submission non-compliant. 4. Following contract award, the successful Bidder must ensure that only personnel and sub-contractors with valid Secret security clearance perform the work related to Appendix E Technical Specification by Security. 5. Enquiries are to be made in writing and should be received no less than five (5) calendar days prior to the closing date to allow sufficient time to respond. Amendments, when issued, will be available from the same government electronic tendering service. Firms that elect to base their bids on bid documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk and will be solely responsible to inform the bid calling authority of their intention to bid.
