(MAI), is seeking a qualified Supplier for the provision of a private marine satellite communications managed network service for ship to shore vessel communication. This network will provide MAI’s vessels with support and maintenance, 2 VOIP lines per vessel and Internet Backhaul Services on four (4) vessels. i. MV Blue Puttees ii. MV Highlanders iii. MV Atlantic Vision iv. MV Leif Ericson There are two ferry routes. First route is a daily service between Port aux Basques, Newfoundland and Labrador and North Sydney, Nova Scotia (178 km). Second route is a seasonal ferry service between Argentia, Newfoundland and Labrador and North Sydney, Nova Scotia, operating from mid-June to late September (520 km). PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLWING SITE VISIT: It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder participate in the virtual site visit scheduled for Thursday, January 21 at 8:30 a.m. (Newfoundland time); 9:00 a.m. (Atlantic). Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 19 (AST) to confirm attendance participation. After your registration is received, you will be e-mailed a link to the virtual site visit. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the virtual site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation. Should bidders consider that the specifications or Statement of Work contained in the bid solicitation could be improved technically or technologically, bidders are invited to make suggestions, in writing, to the Contracting Authority named in the bid solicitation. Bidders must clearly outline the suggested improvement as well as the reason for the suggestion. Suggestions that do not restrict the level of competition nor favour a particular bidder will be given consideration provided they are submitted to the Contracting Authority at least seven (7) days before the bid closing date. Canada will have the right to accept or reject any or all suggestions. All enquiries must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Authority,linda.k.richard@pwgsc-tpsgc.gc.ca, no later than five (5) calendar days before the bid closing date. Enquiries received after that time may not be answered. IMPORTANT: This tender is part of Public Services and Procurement Canada’s initiative to submit bid submission files electronically using epost Connect.
