The work under this contract involves the supply and installation of a new fendering system. The work includes the supply of all labour, materials and equipment required to: demolish and replace the existing breasting dolphin fenders; partially demolish and replacement of the warping dolphin fenders and the construction of a new alignment fender at the warping dolphin.

The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work by December 14, 2018. Refer to Specification section 01 14 10, clause 1.3 Project Phasing Restrictions for specifics pertaining to the project delivery schedule.

All work is to be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications for PWGSC Project Number R.080496.001 forming part ofthe bid document.


OPTIONAL SITE VISIT

There will be an optional site visit on June 7, 2017 at 12:30 p.m.  All interested bidders are to meet at the Saint John Ferry Terminal Wharf, Saint John, N.B.  Although not mandatory, all contractors wishing to submit a tender for this work are encouraged to attend to become familiar with all aspects of the work.  It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site and examine the Scope of the Work required and the existing conditions.  Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.  Please note that this will be the only site visit for this project.  No other site visits will be arranged during the tender period.


The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following
category: $4,500,001.00 - $5,000,000.00 (HST included). Standard bid and contract security for construction is required.

The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work by December 14, 2018.


New measures related to Integrity provisions included in the solicitation documents requires attention.
