All interested bidders are to meet at the Main Entrance of the Fundy Pool Bathhouse Building located off Point Wolf Road (approximately 900m past the Park Visitor Center in Alma) in Fundy National Park, NB. NOTE: In case of Inclement Weather on this date, suppliers must call Leesa Young, Supply Officer, at 506-871-1716. A message on the voice mailbox will advise if the Site Visit is cancelled or not. If it is, an alternate date will also be provided. *** Public Services and Procurement Canada has a requirement for a contract, which consists of the construction services are required to execute proposed interior renovations and exterior conservation and repair work to the Fundy National Park Salt Water Pool Bath House. The Bath House is a recognized Federal Heritage Building because of its historical associations to the Rustic Architecture style and its unique vernacular character. The scope of work includes selective demolition of the interior finishes and assemblies, removal of existing electrical, plumbing and HVAC equipment and services, and necessary preparations to facilitate new construction work. New work at the interior of the building includes new HVAC equipment and plumbing systems, complete with reconfiguration and replacement of all plumbing fixtures and fittings and new finishes throughout the washrooms, change rooms, lobby and support spaces. Minor repairs to existing heritage finishes as affected by new work and protection of character defining elements is also required. Proponents should also expect minor abatement of hazardous materials and installation of new fireproofing/ firestopping systems. Electrical scope includes new interior lighting design, new power distribution as well as updates for telephone and data systems. At the building exterior work includes selective window and door repair and restoration, selective window replacement, new exterior paint finishes, new roof cladding complete with heritage appropriate flashing and replacement trims. Temporary provisions to secure the existing roof for winter is also required immediately as part of the scope of work. All work is to be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications for PWGSC Project Number R.087633.001 forming part of the bid document. The estimate for this opportunity is within the following cost category: $500,001.00 to $1,000,000.00 The Contractor shall perform and complete the work by June 5th, 2020.
