Trade Agreement: Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT) Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: Segregation Control Post Glazing EZ899-172680/B Arthur (PWY), Carolyn Telephone No. - (604) 364-2752( ) Fax No. - (604) 775-6633 ( ) Title: Segregation Control Post Glazing Replacement Location: Kent Institution, Agassiz, BC Work Description: Work to be performed under the Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following work: - Lead Paint Abatement and ACM removal. - Containment and Hoarding - Construction supervision - Glazing replacement at the Segregation Control Post in Building J-K. Includes removal and disposal of existing glazing and stops, and installation of new glazing and stops. New glazing stops to be primed only. - Prepare Mock-up of one window pane as indicated on Drawing A02 (mock-up to include gun port). Mock-up must be approved prior to continuation of work. - Phasing of work shall be as indicated on Proposed Phasing Plan drawing A01. Removal and replacement of glazing must be done simultaneously for each window pane; no openings shall be left open at end of each day. Work will be performed in accordance with the contract and as shown on the drawings. Site Visit: Contractors are strongly recommended to visit the site prior to submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with the site as well as the nature and extent of the work. A site visit is scheduled on 04 April, 2017 @ 10:00 am local time. Interested bidders are to meet at the PWGSC Site Office, 4732 Cemetery Road, Kent Institution, Agassiz, BC. Unit J/K is a highly secure segregation unit. For the purpose of the site visit only: Access into J/K unit and into J/K control post is only permitted between the hours of 11:00am and 12:00pm. Access into the control post itself may be limited to 2 people at a time. The duration within the post will depend on the number of persons. As the entrance for each of these is at different locations and time is limited. The site visit may be divided into 2 groups with no allowances to view from the other side. - 1 group to view the inside of the control post - 1 group to view the outside of the control post from the unit. Bidders are asked to be at the site office no later than 10:15 am allowing PSPC to make these group arrangements and utilize the limited viewing time. Note: All contractors must wear a high visibility vest, which meets WCB standards, for all site visits including a tender site visit. No cameras, cell phones (of any type) or lap top computers are allowed into institutions at any time. All contractors attending the site visit must be able to provide Government issued photo identification at the reception in order to gain visitor access into the institution. Delivery Date: The work shall commence immediately upon official notification of acceptance of tender by the Contracting Authority and is to be completed within 22 weeks of award.
