    Work Description:
    The work required under this contract covers:
    • Site preparation activities (i.e. demarcation of exclusion zones, opening fence and installing temporary fencing) immediately prior to the active remediation component of the project.
    • The remediation and restoration of significant buried debris (known as the Main Debris Zone [MDZ]) in the trail area of the Site.  The remediation activities will also involve the removal of impacted soil.
    All work will be carried out under contract to PSPC on behalf of EC.  PSPC will be responsible for approving the final extent of materials to be removed, their destination, monitoring remediation and restoration progress, and assuring quality of the work.
    
    Mandatory Site visit:
    A mandatory bidder's meeting will be held on September 19, 2016 at 2pm Local Time at Wilmer Marsh. Once arriving to the town of Wilmer (approx. 10 mins outside Invermere), follow Main Ave which leads into Westside Rd and becomes a gravel road shortly outside of town. The site is approx. 1km from this point on the right side of the road. Everyone attending the bidder's meeting should wear appropriate PPE including appropriate footwear as the marsh is located at the bottom of a steep trail.
    
    The site visit for this project is MANDATORY.  The representative of the bidder will be required to sign the Site Visit Attendance Sheet at the site visit. Bids submitted by Bidders who have not signed the attendance sheet will not be accepted.

    Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the mandatory site visit will be included as an amendment/addendum.Submissions provided by Bidders who did not attend will be excluded from the tender process.
    
    Completion Date:
    Remediation and restoration activities are to be completed within the wildlife and fiscal year windows for the Site (December 12, 2016 to March 3, 2017). All final submittals must be completed by March 3, 2017.

    To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost between $ 1,000,000.00 to $ 1,200,000.00.
