Trade Agreement: Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: TITLE: CCGS ALFRED NEEDLER DOCKING DESCRIPTION: Public Services and Procurement Canada has a requirement on behalf of Canadian Coast Guard to carry out docking repairs to the CCGS Alfred Needler in accordance with the associated technical specification detailed in the Statement of Work and applicable Annexes and Appendices. The work period dates are: Commencement: 3 January 2018 Completion: 14 February 2018 Optional Viewing: The vessel will be available for viewing on 21 November 2017, beginning at 0900 local at 280 Southside Road, St. John’s, NL. Optional Bidders Conference: A Bidders Conference will be held onboard the vessel on 21 November 2017, beginning at 1300 local at 280 Southside Road, St. John’s, NL. Potential bidders are to communicate with the Contracting Authority prior to the viewing and bidders conferences to confirm attendance. There is no security requirement applicable to this Contract. The sourcing strategy relating to this procurement will be limited to suppliers in the area of origin (Eastern Canada) of the vessel in accordance with the Shipbuilding, Repair, Refit and Modernization Policy. TRADE AGREEMENTS: The requirement is subject to the provisions of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA). The requirement is exempt from the provisions of the Comprehensive Economic Trade Agreement (CETA), as per Annex 15A, Section E, Note 1c and the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), Chapter Ten Annex 1001.2b Paragraph 1. TENDER DOCUMENTS Firms intending to submit tenders on this project should obtain tender documents through the https://buyandsell.gc.ca/procurement-data/tenders site. Addenda, when issued, will be available from the same site. Firms that elect to base their bids on tender documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk and will be solely responsible to inform the tender calling authority of their intention to bid.
