Building Modernization Phase 2 - 1st & 3rd floors, 10 Weldon
Street, Shediac, N.B.

Public Works and Government Services Canada has a requirement
for phase 2 building modernization of the 1st and 3rd floors of
10 Weldon Street, Shediac, New Brunswick. The purpose of this
project is to modernize the 1st and 3rd floors to accommodate
Workplace 2.0 standards. The scope of work includes, but is not
limited to, improving HVAC / Electrical performance as well as
floor layout to improve client's system load demands. All work
is to be performed in accordance with the plans and
specifications for PWGSC Project Number R.039554.001 forming
part of the bid document. The contract completion is fifty-six
(56) weeks after contract award.

It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the
Bidder visit the work site and examine the Scope of the Work
required and the existing conditions. There will be an optional
site visit on September 9, 2013 at 10:00 am. All interested
bidders are to meet at  the main entrance of the 10 Weldon
Street, Shediac, N.B. Although not mandatory, all contractors
wishing to submit a tender for this work are encouraged to
attend to become familiar with all aspects of the work. Any
clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from
the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid
solicitation. Please note that this will be the only site visit
for this project. No other site visits will be arranged during
the tender period.
New measures related to Code of Conduct and certifications
included in the solicitation documents requires attention. 
A public bid opening will be held at the Bid Receiving Unit,
Room 421, 189 Prince William Street, Saint John, N.B. The
estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following
category: $4,500,001 - $5,000,000 (HST extra).
