Impacts of COVID-19 pandemic:
Due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and to encourage physical distancing, the bid receiving unit in Vancouver will remain open but with limited staff and limited hours: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays only, from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm (Pacific Daylight Time). 

Public tender openings will be suspended until further notice. Following solicitation closing, bid results will be recorded and may be obtained by e-mailing a request to the address indicated in the Invitation to Tender.

Work Description:
Work of this Contract includes:

1) Removal and replacement of existing HVAC systems, equipment, and components - Fans F-9, F-15, F-16, F-20 [formerly MUA-1]), Pump P-4, and gravity hoods.
2) Removal and replacement of existing heating coils HC-1, HC-2, and circulation pumps P-3 and P-4. Modify piping arrangement.
3) Removal and replacement of existing HVAC control systems, equipment, hardware, components, and conduit. Modify graphics and programming.
4) Removal and replacement of existing roof curbs and sleepers.
5) Removal and replacement of existing electrical equipment, wiring, and conduit.
6) Removal and replacement of existing roofing membrane system on lower flat roofs.
7) Provide new heating coil HC-4 and circulation pump P-7.
8) Provide new structural systems to support new HVAC systems.
9) Provide new roof curbs and sleepers for HVAC equipment.
10) Provide new utility stairs at roof access hatch.
11) Perform roof and wall modifications, repair, and patching.
12) Patch and make good all damage caused by mechanical and electrical work.
13) Commission and test all new HVAC, controls, and electrical systems.

At the Chilliwack Correctional Centre in Chilliwack, BC and further identified as the Work.

Site Visit:
There will not be an arranged site visit.

Delivery Date: 
The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work within eighteen [18] weeks from the date of contract award.

Estimated Value: 
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost approximately between $100,001.00 and $500,000.00 (GST included).
