R.090209.005, Alexandra Bridge Rehabilitation, Ottawa Ontario and Gatineau Quebec 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:   

The scope of work consists mainly of replacing angles, lattices, gusset plates, braces, batten plates and strengthening floor beams, stringers and other built-up members, pier repointing and some minor concrete work for the structural steel replacement and strengthening of the Piers 2 and 3 in order to extend its life expectancy of the Alexandra Bridge located in Gatineau, Québec and Ottawa, Ontario.

Work is to be completed within fifty-two (52) weeks after contract award. The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following category: $1,000,001 to $5,000,000.  

MANDATORY SECURITY REQUIREMENT:  
 
This procurement contains a mandatory security requirement.  At bid closing, the Bidder must hold a valid Designated Organization Screening (DOS). Failure to comply with this requirement will render the Bid non-compliant and no further consideration will be given to the Bid.

OPTIONAL SITE VISIT: 
 
There will be an optional site visit on Wednesday April 17, 2019 at 10:00am.  Interested bidders shall meet at the Lookout in Ottawa, Ontario.

Safety Attire - It is mandatory that all persons attending the site visit have the proper safety footwear (CSA approved green patch). Hard hats and safety glasses are also required.  Contractor personnel/individuals who do not have the proper safety attire will be denied access to the site.
