    Notice is hereby given that the closing date for the reception of tenders previously due on the 15 September 2016 is extended to the 20 September 2016 at 14:00 hours.
    
    
    This requirement is for the rehabilitation of the West Pier at Port Elgin Harbour, located in the Village of Port Elgin, on the east shore of Lake Huron, west of Owen Sound.  The work involves encasing the existing wharf with steel sheet pile and replacement of the associated concrete deck.
    
    The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work within twenty-six [26] weeks from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer.
    
    Due to operational requirements at the harbours, on-site workcannot commence until the beginning of November 2016.
    
    MANDATORY SITE VISIT 
    There will be a Mandatory site visit on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.   Bidders are to meet at theparking lot adjacent to Harbourlite Restaurant, 110 Elgin St., Port Elgin, ON N0H 2C0. 
    The site visit for this project is MANDATORY.  The representative of the bidder will be required to sign the Site Visit Attendance Sheet at the site visit. Bids submitted by Bidders who have not signed the attendance sheet will not be accepted.
    
    Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority prior to the site meeting and provide name(s) of individuals attending. 
    
    Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
