Black - Drydock 2018 NOTICE: The sourcing strategy relating to this procurement will be limited to suppliers in the area of origin (Eastern Canada) of the vessel in accordance with the Shipbuilding and Repair Procurement Policy. DESCRIPTION: To carry out the ship repair work, including dry docking, regarding the Canadian Coast Guard Ships (C.C.G.S.) Martha L. Black, during the summer season, in accordance with the Technical Specifications entitled ; ’ CCGS Martha L. Black Refit and VLE drydock Summer 2018 ’ and all related drawings and other technical documents. BIDDERS’ CONFERENCE (OPTIONAL): A bidders' Conference chaired by the Contracting Authority will be convened on board vessel CCGS Martha L. Black at 9:00 am, June 14th, 2018. The vessel will be docked in the Port of Quebec, section 96, QC. An attendance confirmation (by e-mail) is required before 11:00 am, June 12h, 2018, otherwise the bidders’ conference will be cancelled. VESSEL’S VIEWING (OPTIONAL): A site visit will be held immediately after the bidders’ conference on 14th June 2018 for possible contractors. A second site visit will be held on, 15th June 2018 at 09:00 for possible contractors and their sub-contractors. PARTICULARS OF THE VESSEL: 1100-class Medium size ice-breaker Length overall: 83.0 meters Moulded breadth: 16.2 meters Load draught max.: 6.1 meters Load displacement: 5,006 meters Work is to commence and be completed as follows: Start: August 01, 2018, or as per ship availability (at the earliest date) End: October 10, 2018, or (70) days after ship availability (at the earliest date) The requirement is exempt from the provisions of the World Trade Organization Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP), Annex 4 and the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), Chapter 10 Annex 1001.2b Paragraph 1, however, it is subject to the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA). This Public Works and Government Services Canada office provides procurement services in both official languages of Canada Delivery Date: Above-mentioned The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement. Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
