Trade Agreement: Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT) Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: 135 kV Substation Upgrade F1700-150694/A Pillay, Sal (PWY) Telephone No. - (604) 775-9386 Fax No. - (604) 775-6633 Title: 135 kV Substation Upgrade Location: Conuma River Hatchery, West Coast, Vancouver Island, BC Work Description: The Fisheries and Oceans Canada will be constructing upgrades to the Conuma Hatchery 138kV Switchyard in order to replace the existing transformer with two new transformers. The upgrade work includes: relocation of the existing transformer and 600 V splice pit; disposal of existing buried 600 V Teck power cables, transformer foundation, fencing, crushed rock surfacing and other excavated materials surplus to the work; excavation and backfill as required for the new foundations, oil catchment apron, water/oil drain piping, oil-stop valve and changer, oil-water separator and water drain rock pit; construction of re-enforced concrete foundations for transformers and oil catchment apron; construction of water-oil drainage system; installation of two Department pre-purchased transformers (T1) and (T2); supply and installation of bedding, drainage and surface rock, other materials and fencing; providing temporary fencing and guarding from access to live 138kV area and other hazards. 1. Civil Oil Stop, Oil Water Separator and Drainage Piping; 7. Concrete Forming, Rebar, Placing and Testing; 8. Equipment Placement and Assembly; 9. HV and LV Electrical including Above Grade Bonds and Ground; 10. 138 kV Disconnect Switch Maintenance; 11. Fencing; 12. Oil Stop and Separator including Related Piping; 13. Drain and Crushed Rock and Other Surface Finishing; 14. Checking, Testing, Commissioning and Documentation; 15. Other; 16. Demobilization Delivery Date: The work shall commence immediately upon official notification of acceptance of tender by the Contracting Authority and is to be completed within 8 weeks. Site Visit Date: A site visit has been scheduled for 30th June 2015 @ 12:00 PM PDST. Contractors are to meet at the main entrance on site. Contractors are to note that this is not a mandatory site visit and is optional. However, it is recommended that contractors visit the site prior to closing.
