Trade Agreement: Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT) Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: Yes Nature of Requirements: EZ899-171574/A Title: Palace Grand Theatre Renovation Location: Klondike National Historic Site, Dawson City, Yukon Comprehensive Land Claims Agreement (CLCA) This procurement is subject to the Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in Final Agreement (1998). Note to Tenderers: Drawings and Specifications are now available for viewing and downloading in a Portable Document Format (PDF) or in a standard paper version. Tenderers should note that Attachment contains the Drawings and Specifications Package (DSP) which consists of PDF files organized in an industry recognized directory structure. Work Description: The work is comprised of interior and exterior improvements to the existing Palace Grand Theater. Applicable hazardous material abatement/disposalwill be completed under this contract. Refer to Appendix A and B for Hazmat information. The existing mechanical room will have all interior finishes removed from the walls and ceilings and be insulated with spray in place foam insulation to fill thecavities. The interior finishes and attachments will then be restored. Existing asbestos containing exterior siding on the mechanical room, washrooms, vestibule and staircase portions of the building will be removed and replaced with a new reinforcedcementitious panel siding system. A new sloped insulated roofing system will be installed over these areas. New windows will be installed in the vestibule and the washroom areas. Roofing at the eaves of the existing building stair shafts, will be liftedand an eave protection membrane will be installed on the roof deck. The entire existing Main and Mechanical room floors, will have material removed as required to install the spray foam insulation with the installation of fire taped gypsum wallboard attached to girts and or to the underside of the joists or floor structure. The crawl space floor material will be removed as necessary to perform structural, mechanical and electrical work and then an overall gravel layer will be added. All work within the crawl space that is NOT associated specifically with removing or disturbing (digging, relocating, etc.) asbestos-contaminated soil MUST be conducted using personal protective equipment as well as entry, exit and decontamination procedures as stipulated in Section 02 82 00.01 - Asbestos Abatement - Minimum Precautions. All work within the crawl space that WILL require removing or disturbing (digging, relocating, etc.) asbestos-contaminated soil MUST be conducted in accordance with the proceduresas stipulated in Section 02 82 00.02 - Asbestos Abatement - Intermediate Precautions. Interior renovations will be performed. Some of the items include installation of fire doors, installation of nosings and resilient mats in the stairwells and restoration of any interior finishes affected by the renovation work. Any interior work will be required to follow proper asbestos abatement procedures, where specified herein. Optional Site Visit: Bidders are strongly recommended to visit the site priortosubmitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with the site as well as the nature and extent of the work. A site visit will be held on the following date and time: Date: November8, 2016 Time: 10:00 am local time Location: Palace Grand Theatre located at Third and King Street, Dawson City, Yukon Note: Interested bidders are required to provide their name(s) to Tian Lam at tian.lam@pwgsc-tpsgc.gc.ca no later than 24 hours prior to the site visit to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance form. Delivery Date: The Contractor shall perform and complete the work no later than 12 months from contract award date.
