GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The Work covered by this contract mainly includes, but without limitation thereto: The replacement of the upstream and downstream of Lock No. 8 of Chambly Canal gates and related civil work. Extent of work is limited to Lock 8 only. Any reference to Lock 5 is not part of this tender and therefore, should not be taken into account in the evaluation of your submission. SCHEDULE: The work must be completed on or before January 31, 2015 OPTIONAL SITE VISIT: There will be an optional site visit Thusday May 13, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. (EDT) interested bidders are to meet at Chambly Canal Lock No. 8 located at 2811, Canal Rd, Carignan, Quebec J3L 4N9. (See Location Map reference no. 612626-4500-45DD-0001_00). It is suggested to confirm your attendance with the Contracting Authority in advance. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the bidders' site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation. Bidders who do not attend will not be precluded from submitting a bid.
