A000492F TITLE: ALLISTON, ON - REHABILITATE NICOLSTON DAM Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) on behalf of Department of Fisheries and Oceans, Sea Lamprey Control Center, have a requirement at the Nicolston Dam, Alliston, Ontario. The work under this contract covers the furnishing of all labour, material, tools, equipment, plant, and supervision required to rehabilitate the Nicolston Dam to restore its structural integrity and maintain its function as a barrier to invasive Sea Lampreys. The work involves concrete repairs, grouting, placement of rip rap, gate fabrication and installation, and bank stabilization; this work will require dewatering of the work area. The Nicolston Dam is located on the Nottawasaga River with access from the Nicolston Campground (5140 Line 5, Alliston, ON). This work shall be in accordance with Specification - Project No. A000492F dated June 2017 and Drawings. COMPLETION TIME The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work within [eleven] [11] weeks from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer. MANDATORY SITE VISIT There will be a site visit on the 6th July at 11:00 a.m. Interested bidders are to meet at Nicolston Dam Campground, 5140 Line 5, Alliston, ON. The site visit for this project is MANDATORY. The representative of the bidder will be required to sign the Site Visit Attendance Sheet at the site visit. Bids submitted by Bidders who have not signed the attendance sheet will be rejected. Bidders will be required to wear safety boots (no hard hats) at site visit. Bidders will be required to register with the Contracting Authority prior to the site meeting and provide name(s) of individuals attending, no later Wednesday, July 5,2017. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
