Trade Agreement: CETA / WTO-AGP / CFTA Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: EXTENSION OF TIME Notice is hereby given that the closing date for the reception of tenders previously due on 27 September 2018 is extended to the 2 October 2018 at 14:00 hours. Project No. R.073593.001 Title: Hamlet, ON - Hamlet Swing and Fixed Bridges (Bridge 57 & 58) Replacement Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) on behalf of Parks Canada have a requirement for replacement of the Hamlet Swing and Fixed Bridges. The Hamlet Swing and Fixed Bridges carry Peninsula Point Road over the Trent-Severn Waterway in Hamlet, Ontario. The crossing consists of a 60 meters equal arm swing span to the west and a 31 meters fixed span to the east. The existing bridges have been in service for over 90 years. Scope of Work Work under this Contract comprises of the replacement of the existing Hamlet Swing Bridge (Bridge #57) Warren Truss, Fixed Bridge (Bridge #58) Pratt Truss, and control house. It also includes, but is not limited to, the installation of new mechanical and electrical systems; replacement of the East and West Abutments and East Pier; the rehabilitation of the Pivot Pier and the Rest Piers; and the reconstruction of the east and west approaches to the bridge, as identified in the tender documents. The Contractor shall perform and complete all the Work by the 26 July 2019, with the following project constraints: Navigational Season 1. Work affecting navigation shall not occur until October 8, 2018. 2. In-water work shall not occur between March 15, 2019 and July 15, 2019. Optional Site Visit There will be an optional site visit on 6 September 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Interested bidders are to meet at the operator house located on the west side of the swing bridge, 1641 Muskoka District Road 49, Hamlet, Ontario. Bidders are requested to register with the Contracting Authority, Mary Caporusso by email, mary.caporusso@pwgsc-tpsgc.gc.ca to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) who will attend. Bidders who do not attend will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Safety Attire In order to be guaranteed access to the site all persons should have the proper personal protection equipment (safety glasses, footwear, vests and hard hats etc.). Contractor`s personnel/individuals who do not have the proper safety attire may be denied access to the site. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS Bidders must meet all the mandatory requirements specified in the tender document. Failure to comply with any or all the mandatory requirements will render the bid non-compliant and no other consideration will be given to the bid.
