Registered attendees are to meet at the C-Dry Boardroom Giant Mine Site, Yellowknife, NT at their scheduled site visit time. 2) Attire - It is mandatory that all persons attending the site visit have the proper safety footwear (CSA approved green patch) . Hard hats, high visibility vest and safety glasses are also required. Bidder personnel/individuals who do not have the proper safety attire will be denied access to the site. 3) Interested bidders are to register and confirm their attendance with the Contracting Authority no later than 2:00 P.M. C.S.T., May 28, 2014. The Contracting Authority will communicate to the bidder their scheduled site visit time by 2:00 P.M. C.S.T., May 30, 2014. If a proposed representative is a sub consultant or subcontractor to the bidding entity they can tour the site multiple times representing each entity they intend to bid with. Refer to IB11 Limitation of Submissions clause to ensure compliance before bidding. The bidder should also identify specific areas underground and/or on surface that they would like to see during the site visit. 6) All travel and living costs associated with travel to Yellowknife for the purpose of attending the Optional Site Visit will be borne by the bidder or its representative. ***************************************************************** ************ IMPORTANT NOTICE TO BIDDERS This is to advise potential bidders that Optional Work will be amended into the current RFP. This Optional Work includes the backfilling of arsenic stopes B2-12/13/14 and B2-08 with an estimated paste volume of 16,500 m3. Further information regarding this Optional Work will be available in the near future. ***************************************************************** ************ Bidders are hereby informed that the requirements of the Tlicho Land Claim and Self Government Agreement will apply to this procurement. The benefits that apply are contained in: Chapter 26, the Tlicho Land Claim and Self Government Agreement, clauses 26.3, 26.3.1 (a). Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) on behalf of Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada (AANDC) intends to retain an individual Design-Builder (D-B) or Joint Venture to provide the complete design-build work for the interim underground stabilization work at Giant Mine in Yellowknife, NT, as more fully described in the Terms of Reference. Utilizing a design-build service delivery methodology, a full range of professional consultant and contractor services will be required during both the design and construction phases of the project. The contract will commence at contract award and is to be completed by 01 March 2016. Mandatory Site Visit and Bidders Conference: 1) Site visits will be held on the afternoon of May 12th and all day on May 13th, 2014. Registered attendees are to meet at the C-Dry Boardroom Giant Mine Site, Yellowknife, NT at their scheduled site visit time. A bidders conference will be held the morning of May 14, 2014 at 9:00 am at TBD. The site visit for this project is MANDATORY. The representative of the company will be required to sign the Site Visit Attendance Sheet at the site visit. Bids submitted by companies who have not signed the attendance sheet will not be accepted. In the case of a joint venture bidder, record of attendance at the mandatory site visit by at least one of the JV companies will be required for bid acceptance. 2) There will be an additional OPTIONAL site visit occurring at the beginning of June 2014, for further touring of the underground at a date TBD. 3) Attire - It is mandatory that all persons attending the site visit have the proper safety footwear (CSA approved green patch) . Each company can send three (3) representatives to the Bidders Conference. 7) All travel and living costs associated with travel to Yellowknife for the purpose of attending the Mandatory or Optional Site Visit and Bidders Conference will be borne by the bidder or its representative. Firms intending to submit proposals on this project should obtain tender (solicitation) documents through Buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders. Addenda, when issued will be available from Buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders. Firms that elect to base their proposals on tender (solicitation) documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk and will be solely responsible to inform the tender calling authority of their intention to bid.
